BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST ARTHUR FRANKENBERG-

I wrote this short bio on the designer Arthur Frankenberg for Wikipedia. He was very famous in the 20s and early 30s and then his name disappeared into obscurity. One of the little Napoleon's on Wikipedia who is on a power trip moved it to drafts wanting more citations, I had provided 16 separate references,  & whether 'he was notable.' Thus there can be endless articles about a vacuous 'celebrities' ie once appeared on a reality show, remember when celebrities  were Lauren Bacall, Einstein, Neil Armstrong, Ghandi or JFK?

Obscurity is invetable for  many in the Arts or Sciences. Fame rests largely on media and PR exposure which is largely limited to popular & lucrative popular entertainment. Wikipedia does cover obscurity, I have written articles on very obscure people but this time someone has got on their high horse & I can't be  bothered, here is  the article  that you cannot read on the online encyclopedia about a major designer:

Arthur Frankenberg who used the name Arthur von Frankenberg was an American twentieth century designer and sculptor of Art Nouveau and Art Deco figures. He is best remembered for his Art Deco sculptors of nude women, often supporting objects such as globes, and simliar figures designed as lamps.
He incorporated his own company Frankart Inc in the early 1920s located at the Manhatten address 1170 Broadway at 28th Street and later at 225 Fifth Avenue. The company boomed and produced an array of items: aquariums, ashtrays, bookends, centerpieces, clocks, incense burners, inkwells, lamps, smoker stands and smoker sets, vases, and wall plaques. However a disagreement between Frankenberg and the company management in 1930 resulted in legal action and the company declined until it ceased in 1935.

Quoizel Metal Art Company

Following his ousting from the company he founded, Frankenberg started the Quoizel Metal Art Compan in l930. The company folded in 1931
